Cleaning Technician
This course starts with the basic pre-inspection and testing procedures
with explanations for safe techniques for problem fabrics.
This course includes:
- Fiber identification and characteristics
- Different fabric weaves and characteristics
- Identifying and classifying upholstery cleaning into 1 of 5
categories
- Learn how to use bleaches to remove dye staining (Your competition
can’t)
- How to effectively clean at $100+ per hour
- How to charge between $100-$200 per sofa
- Learn how to (as Kenny Rogers would say) “Know when to
hold ‘em, when to fold ‘em, and when to walk away”.
- Hands-on Demonstrations – You will see live hands-on demos
as cleaning techniques are taught including velvets, bleeders,
Haitian cotton, satins, severe staining, office partitions, etc.
Special attention is given to using existing equipment to clean
upholstery and to tools that make it safer to clean. This course
is good for a business owner, technician or maintenance person responsible
for the care of upholstery and drapery fabrics.
This course is required to achieve Master
designation.
